NW celebrates Veterans Day with activities & dedication

Northwest Missouri State University had a variety of events yesterday to honor Veterans Day.

Contests took place and exhibits were displayed in the Carl and Cheryl Hughes Fieldhouse.

Veterans Common, a new area designed for veterans to gather and study on the upper floor of the Valk Center, was dedicated with a ribbon cutting from Governor Mike Parson, who also gave a speech. Parson spoke about the importance of honoring veterans and their families and complimented the University on its commitment to working with veterans.

Northwest was also designated as a Military Friendly School for the ninth consecutive year.
